The Monster

The Monster is a 2025 two minute short film made by bbsheps, which has been featured at film festivals internationally, and nominated at the 2025 Young Animator of the Year awards. It's a hybrid film, featuring primarily stop motion animation, but also live action shots, 3D animated and 2D animated sections.  It tells the story of a scientist bringing a creature to life, with the biggest single inspiration being Frankenstein adaptations. We wanted to have a go at the classic ressurection scene, all while playing around with combining as many mediums as we could.
